What You’ll Be Doing The Data Analyst - Bank Data Systems supports data‑driven decision‑making by combining analytical expertise with technical development skills. This role ensures the integrity of loan portfolio data, supports credit risk analytics, and contributes to the development and integration of internal tools and systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, scripting, and collaborating across teams to enhance data workflows and reporting capabilities. This role requires 5 days in office in Stifel’s St. Louis headquarters.

What We’re Looking For

Produce monthly loan impairment and portfolio analytics reports.

Support CECL reserve modeling using Loss Rate and PD/LGD methodologies.

Collaborate with internal teams and third‑party consultants on credit risk systems and data integration.

Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal tools and systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve software and data issues using logical reasoning.

Document processes, models, and code to meet internal and external audit standards.

Participate in continuous integration and development practices.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, and IT.

What You’ll Bring

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Experience with statistical analysis and large datasets.

Understanding of credit risk lifecycle and portfolio risk management.

Familiarity with software development environments and version control.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Required: 1+ years’ of experience in financial, technical, or investment‑related roles.

Licenses & Credentials

Minimum Required: None.

Systems & Technology

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Experience with SQL, T‑SQL, and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R, SAS).

Familiarity with Power BI and relational database systems.

Exposure to C#/.NET, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, jQuery), or similar technologies is a plus.
