Base pay range $150.00/yr - $170.00/yr
This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, fully testing and managing our company's network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of network engineers ranging in experience and expertise. Leadership will be required in areas including prioritization, escalations, high‑profile troubleshooting, and cross‑team collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design, security, and performance optimization.
Essential Functions
Design and implement network solutions to meet cross‑functional business requirements.
Manage and maintain (Cisco/Meraki) network infrastructure, including wireless access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Advise a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.
Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, load balancers, and switching.
ACI experience.
High proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Superior troubleshooting and investigatory skills with a strong sense of urgency in high‑profile outage situations.
In‑depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, FCOE and FC environments.
Ability to implement & deliver complex technical projects within a defined schedule covering LAN, WAN, Wireless, 4/5G, SD‑WAN, VPNs, NAC, and Zero Trust.
Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and other core networking hardware.
Expertise in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency in network performance tuning and optimization.
Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
Experience with network security technologies and best practices.
