Job Summary The ERP Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role ensures system integrity, security, and availability while optimizing ERP performance to meet business needs. The ERP Administrator collaborates with cross-functional departments—including Finance, Operations, HR, and Supply Chain—to improve workflows, support users, and implement system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration:
Manage day-to-day ERP operations, including user accounts, permissions, roles, and access controls.
Monitor ERP performance and troubleshoot system issues to minimize downtime.
Perform regular data backups, patches, and system updates.
Configuration & Customization:
Configure ERP modules (e.g., Finance, HR, Inventory, Procurement, CRM) according to business requirements.
Collaborate with developers or vendors to design and implement custom features, reports, and workflows.
User Support & Training:
Serve as the first point of contact for ERP-related support requests.
Develop user guides, documentation, and conduct training sessions for staff.
Work with department heads to identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.
Integration & Reporting:
Manage data interfaces between the ERP system and other applications (e.g., CRM, BI tools, payroll).
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for management and operational teams.
Coordinate with ERP vendors and external consultants for troubleshooting and upgrades.
Participate in ERP implementation or migration projects, including testing, validation, and go-live support.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field or relevant experience.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience administering an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Infor, Odoo, etc.). Experience with SQL databases, system integration, and business process analysis preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with ERP architecture and database management. Knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell) is a plus. Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Crystal Reports, Tableau).
Preferred Qualification
ERP certification (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP Certified Administrator, NetSuite Administrator, Odoo Professional Certification).
