Job Description AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design and in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance, treatment, and pumping systems in our Houston, TX office.
This role offers an opportunity to progress down the project management career path with a focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and conveyance design projects.
Responsibilities
Serves as Project Manager on medium to large water/wastewater treatment plants and pump station projects
Prepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications
Provides technical direction and mentorship for junior staff
Coordinates with other discipline leads, clients, consultants, and agencies in management and implementation of projects
Participates in all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, finance, and quality
Builds and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals
Assists in identifying opportunities, development of proposals and statement of qualifications
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
BA/BS and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of water infrastructure design experience
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or able to obtain licensure within 6 months
Experience working on municipal projects
Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Compensation Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
