Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy – Sam’s Club
Join Sam’s Club as a Senior Manager in Finance and Strategy. Your work will help over 295 million global customers live better each week. The role supports the company’s key strategic goals through financial leadership, planning, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Base Pay Range $90,000 – $180,000 per year
Responsibilities
Develop and manage short‑term and long‑term strategic financial plans for the membership business.
Lead alignment and consensus around financial decisions across functions and teams.
Present financial insights to senior leaders, the CEO’s executive leadership team, and the Board of Directors.
Analyze business performance, identify gaps, and recommend actions to achieve financial targets.
Provide strategic input for executive content in high‑profile meetings (e.g., Board of Directors, Executive Council).
Cultivate a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across the finance workforce.
Manage multiple projects, ensuring clear communication of risks, trends, and opportunities.
Use design thinking and visual storytelling to simplify complex financial information.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area (or 6 years).
At least 1 year of experience leading cross‑functional projects.
1 year of supervisory or senior leadership decision‑support experience.
Strong analytical, planning, and business‑management skills.
Excellent storytelling, visual communication, and executive‑level presentation skills.
High standards, detail orientation, and the ability to hold contributors accountable.
Organized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects.
Preferred: 3+ years of analytics, planning, or omni‑channel merchandising experience; experience with financial modeling and design thinking.
Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in a business‑related field.
