As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. Small Business Bank (SBB) is in a transformational growth period, just one year into the launch of our digital account opening (DAO) capability as we expand to become a national digital bank for small businesses. A key to delivering sustained growth is to create an exceptional customer experience post‑acquisition to engage, delight, and retain customers. In this role you will be part of SBB’s Channel Strategy and Analytics team, responsible for developing intent to improve the small business customer experience in our, branch, and bank operations teams. You will use analytics to understand the “voice of the customer” via surveys, servicing call reasons, and complaints data, identify high‑leverage friction areas, and influence cross‑functional partners to build and execute solutions. You will also help define the future of omni‑channel servicing for the national digital bank we are building.
General Responsibilities
Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
Marketing: Lead direct‑to‑consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, breakthrough technology, and concepts designed to deliver on new go‑to‑market strategies.
Drive step‑change improvements in marketing performance by connecting drivers of future consumer trends to historical behavior and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the marketing strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including Data Science, Marketing Strategists, Project Managers, Product Strategy, Finance, and others to drive improvement in marketing performance.
Strategic & analytic orientation: Proven decision‑making and problem‑solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by strong quantitative orientation, as a large part of the business relies on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management.
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: Tenacious decision maker able to bring a healthy, aggressive yet responsible approach to business.
Solid teamwork: Build and leverage capabilities of a high‑performing team and business partners across the enterprise. Foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold partners accountable, and consistently deliver results.
Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Clear results orientation: Intense focus on achieving both short‑term and long‑term goals and ability to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.
Successful track record of thriving in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
Basic Qualifications > Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
At least 2 years of experience in analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering.
5+ years of experience in analysis.
2+ years of experience in financial services.
1+ year of experience in consulting.
2+ years of experience in people management.

The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $144,000 – $164,400 for Business Manager McLean, VA: $158,400 – $180,800 for Business Manager
This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives.
