About The Role
Huemen is looking for a Web designer to join a new team focused on all creative efforts for the Harman portfolio of global audio brands which includes JBL, Harman/Kardon, and AKG as well as external clients. Your Team
You will have no direct or indirect reports but will be part of a 3 person creative team. What You Will Do
This team will be focused on servicing Harman marketing efforts and elevating the marketing services offering within Huemen. Develop breakthrough, culturally relevant visuals for creative campaigns and for general branding in web, mobile, social, and for company presentations. Collaborate with Design Director to create the visual expression for all brand campaigns and creative initiatives. Develop and maintain visual tone, consistency, and quality across all internal and consumer‑facing communications. Develop and maintain web guidelines for a variety of brands and initiatives. Translate concepts and ideas into visuals for web, social, video, and promotions; demonstrate effective work in multiple formats including mobile applications, social media applications, rich‑format advertising, standard‑format advertising, websites/microsites, emails, and retail applications. Work with other designers, user experience architects, and marketers to achieve the vision (a flexible attitude to collaboration is essential). What You Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Design or equivalent. 2-4 years of design experience preferred with a top‑notch visual aesthetic. Multi‑platform experience is a must. Self‑motivated, well organized, and able to meet ever‑changing timelines, requests, and deliverables. Mastery of Figma, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required. Mastery of typography, layout, and general design principals. Working knowledge of information architecture, HTML, and JavaScript. Demonstrated ability to translate client message into effective communications across the full range of creative disciplines (social, web, mobile, etc.). Aware of the mobile landscape and stay current on rapid changes in social media and communications technology. Industry aware: current events, trends, and general advertising culture. Ability to work in a global matrixed organization and communicate at all levels. What Is Nice To Have
A design‑focused degree is a plus. Fluency in another language. What Makes You Eligible
Willing to travel up to 5% domestic and/or international. Willing to work in an office environment in Midtown Manhattan. Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment. What We Offer
