Sales Manager-AIF, Compressor Technique – Dallas, TX 1 at Atlas Copco
Overview The Oil Free Air Sales Manager will prospect, source, and maintain quality customers in the assigned area to grow Atlas Copco's market share in rotary screw air compressor, centrifugal air compressor, air treatment, and nitrogen generation new equipment product lines. The position offers a base salary of $70K to $80K plus monthly commission, annual bonus, and an auto allowance, with potential first‑year earnings of $115k to $130K.
Responsibilities
Prospect and source quality customers in the assigned region.
Develop and execute action plans to achieve or exceed sales goals, identifying prospects, targets, and markets.
Call on and sell new and factory‑refurbished equipment directly to customers, supporting key accounts through collaboration with a peer aftermarket sales representative.
Follow up on new leads and referrals, maintaining regular contact with existing and new customers, especially key accounts.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, introduce new products and upgrades, study customer needs, and coordinate customer service.
Prepare and present quotes, proposals, pricing, and credit terms.
Oversee customer services through quality checks and follow‑up to resolve concerns.
Maintain a professional image and enhance the division and company reputation by consistently implementing Atlas Copco’s core values of commitment, interaction, and innovation.
Obtain, develop, prepare, deliver, and present sales materials and promotional programs at exhibits, conferences, and other events.
Continuously update product and sales knowledge through education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
Prepare performance and activity reports, including lost orders, closings, follow‑up, and budget comparisons, and provide recommendations for product, service, pricing, and competitive developments.
Project a knowledgeable, professional, and customer‑oriented image in all interactions, performing duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards.
Take appropriate action to accomplish objectives and maintain communication with necessary stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of direct sales experience or customer service experience, industrial equipment sales preferred.
Education:
Four‑year degree in engineering, business, or marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Skills:
self‑directed; proficient in using the company CRM system to log sales visits and opportunities; excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; proven business analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); willingness to travel overnight for company meetings and training.
