Office Location: Hollywood Casino at Charles Town, 750 Hollywood Drive, Charles Town, WV 25414

Responsibilities Performed full performance level work obtaining evidence of reported fraud or violations of rules and regulations of the WV Lottery, WV State Lottery Act, Racetrack video lottery, and table games rules and regulations not limited to all related areas of the Lottery. The positions’ primary location will be at a racetrack and the employee will report to the assigned racetrack. This position will involve direct public contact. Work may require the use of a personal automobile for travel and overnight stays may be required. Employee is subject to on-call during non-business hours (24/7) as assigned. May be required to deal with situations which are potentially dangerous. Work location is not smoke free with low lighting. Position will require walking up and down stairs, standing, bending to perform the assigned duties. Work includes compliance inspections of the racetrack and all related areas of assignment. Oversee the operation at the racetrack to ensure proper security procedures are followed in addition to rules and regulations. Conduct and/or assist with investigation to ensure the integrity of the WV Lottery, but not limited to other investigations as assigned.

Qualifications Must have Desktop computer experience and skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Applicants are subject to an extensive background investigation by the WV Lottery Security Division. No person shall be appointed, employed, or continue to serve in any position or employment with the commission who has been convicted of any violation of the lottery law or of any felony or any crime related to theft or gambling. The commission shall remove or discharge any person so convicted.

Education and Experience Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

OR

Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.

Experience: One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in law enforcement or investigative work or in determining eligibility for credit, insurance or government programs.

For Lottery only:

Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid investigative, law enforcement, surveillance, accounting/auditing, and/or business operations, lottery operations, and/or casino operations, or gaming operations experience. Preference may be shown to applicants with investigative experience in casino or gaming operations.

Special Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license and the availability of an automobile is required. Qualification to possess and use firearms may be required.
