Job Overview The Product Line Leader III provides leadership over Product Management, Engineering, and Program Management for the product portfolio. Responsibilities include product planning and development execution throughout the lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and leading engineering to deliver winning products that support the company’s strategy and goals. The role works closely with Sales to ensure revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market share goals are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leverage emerging market and technology trends, competitive actions, and customer requirements to identify profitable growth opportunities.

Maintain relationships with key customers, industry associations, and other stakeholders to influence the industry.

Lead and synthesize Voice of Customer activities through on‑site visits with the Sales team.

Identify, assess, and validate technical innovations that enhance the product line’s market position.

Coordinate with customers and internal teams to support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and meet quality, compliance, and customer requirements.

Represent Machine Solutions at industry trade shows and customer visits, delivering technical expertise and product demonstrations.

Collaborate with the Aftermarket team for equipment process and installation troubleshooting.

Lead Market Requirement Events to define product offering breadth and depth, focusing on performance, features, pricing, and market position.

Lead cross‑functional efforts (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance) to translate requirements into prioritized innovation and product development initiatives.

Define a financial plan for the product line, establishing 3‑year growth and profitability goals.

Develop Go‑to‑Market strategies with the Marketing Leader, articulating unique selling propositions, positioning, differentiation, and pricing.

Provide Sales with high‑potential market expectations and promotional assets.

Manage New Product Development (NPD) processes from idea generation to launch, ensuring standardization and re‑use.

Lead engineering teams in development projects, design solutions, resources, reviews, and testing.

Oversee Program Management resources to deliver R&D projects on schedule, cost, quality, and performance.

Direct customer interfacing activities for successful product launches.

Qualifications Education and Experience

Minimum 8 years of Product Manager, Business Development, or Engineering leadership experience with a proven record of gaining market share.

Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field (Master’s preferred).

Strong technical background partnering with engineering teams across regions and disciplines.

Deep industry or technical expertise in the medical device or medical equipment sector.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong project management skills: timeline, resource allocation, risk assessment.

Proficient in competitive analyses, market research, and forecasting trends.

Proven ability to create and execute product roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.

Physical Demands & Work Environment Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, computer use, and repetitive hand movements for typing. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Office setting near manufacturing; occasional exposure to noise, vibrations, or odors. Requires wearing PPE when entering manufacturing floor.
