Quality Assurance Technician

Hourly Rate:
$18-20 per hour
Shift:
Night Shift
Responsibilities
Work directly with QA Supervisor and Operations facility management team to review requirements and ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures.
Help provide cross‑functional interaction with departments to ensure all processes are monitored and reviewed.
Abilities to troubleshoot and analyze unpredicted things that may come up.
Participate in daily and weekly physical bakery inspections.
Report food safety issues so that they may be addressed right away.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and perform routine to complex tasks.
Perform bi-annual mock recalls.
Knowledge of pest control.
Leadership skills and ability to communicate and execute non‑conformities effectively.
Ability to address a non‑conformity.
Verification activities including, but not limited to, calibration of instruments, titration, and monitoring records.
Experience in sanitation monitoring activities.
Hygiena SureTrend swabbing experience is a plus.
Documentation focused, the ability to comprehend and support documentation errors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in food science, quality assurance, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in a quality assurance or food production role, preferably in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance principles. Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document and analyze data.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
