The goal for the Electrical Controls Technician within the Maintenance Department is to maintain plant electrical/mechanical systems and equipment in a safe and reliable manner, complying with all corporate, state and federal regulations. The Maintenance Department provides outstanding customer service and support to manufacturing teams through preventative/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrading of plant processing, packaging and the filling line equipment. What You’ll Do

Perform repairs and troubleshoot high speed equipment and plant utility systems; make machine adjustments to case packers, palletizers, sleevers, labelers and other equipment for proper operation Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation Troubleshoot and repair/replace variable frequency drives (VFDs), vision systems, barcode scanners, video‑jet ink printers and computer control systems Install various components including seals, bushings, couplings, bearings, O‑rings, gaskets, adhesives, belts, chains, rollers, sprockets, gears, sheaves, cylinders and others Wire and repair/replace electric motors; repair basic wiring, install/replace correct size fuses, troubleshoot motor overload protection and contactors Use electrical tools such as multimeter and megger Maintain and troubleshoot AC drive systems and PLCs; access and interpret PLC logic via laptop or desktop and maintain PLCs Make emergency repairs with welding and fabricating brackets Use guidelines within National Electric Code (NEC) and read electrical schematics Maintain hand tools and equipment (drills, wrenches, micrometers, calipers, torches, welders, lathe, mill, multimeter, grinders, bandsaw, etc.) Follow plant and department procedures, GMPs, plant safety rules, 5S protocol and maintenance safety procedures, including LOTO SHIFT

12‑hour night shift (6:00 pm – 6:30 am) Required Qualifications

2+ years of electrician, controls technician or industrial experience Electrical technical degree, high school diploma/GED and 2+ years of equivalent experience in an instrumentation or related role Ability to access and interpret PLC logic via laptop or desktop and understanding of wiring schematics Experience with Allen Bradley, Rockwell, RSLogix including VFDs and PLCs Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher in an electrical technical field Experience with instrumentation – performing calibrations and critical PMs on equipment components to ensure operation within proper tolerances Experience with instruments such as pressure, flow, temperature, humidity, level, or weight; using 4‑20 mA or 0‑10 V control loops, calibration procedures, setup and verification with other equipment Able to repair and rebuild centrifugal or positive displacement pumps, capper chucks and filler valves Able to work with Plant engineering team to develop more robust systems within asset care programs Equal Opportunity Employer
