Job Overview
We have an immediate opening for an experienced insurance defense or general liability attorney to join our client’s firm in Los Angeles. The firm defends businesses and individuals in insurance defense, toxic tort, transportation litigation, products liability, medical malpractice, and catastrophic tort claims.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Represent clients in all stages of civil litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, settlement negotiations, trial, and appeals.>
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and the implications of different strategies.
Collaborate with the attorney team to develop and implement effective legal strategies aligned with client goals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and precedents, applying this knowledge to advance client interests.
Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical practice at all times.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, focused on civil litigation.
Proven track record of successfully managing civil cases from start to finish.
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively.
Strong negotiation skills, achieving favorable settlements.
High level of professionalism and integrity with a commitment to legal excellence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with legal research tools and software.
Willingness to stay current on legal developments.
