Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (State of North Carolina or Compact State)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (1.5 years preferred)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate for fetal monitoring (Preferred)

STABLE certification (Preferred)

EPIC charting experience (Preferred)

Updated professional references required

COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

First-time travel nurses welcome!

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and couplet care settings

Provide care for hysterectomy patients using med-surg nursing skills

Conduct antepartum, labor, and postpartum assessments and interventions

Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and newborn assessments

Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV therapy

Educate parents on newborn care, discharge planning, and car seat safety

Utilize fetal monitoring equipment and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Pharmacy

Float to other hospital units as needed
