Maryland Nursing Job Details Shift:
12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
Unit:
Adult Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele; no pediatric care)
Weekend Coverage:
Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week period)
Caribbean Blue (not provided)
Registered Nurse Qualifications Current and active RN license in Maryland or compact state (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent adult Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
Proficient in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
Ability to float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed
COVID-19 vaccine not required
First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
RN Job Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse diagnoses (e.g., diabetes, CHF, sepsis, COPD, post-surgical recovery, GI bleed, sickle cell crisis)
Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care
Utilize specialized clinical equipment: patient lifts, CADD pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitors, capnography
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)
Float to other medical-surgical or telemetry units as required
Accurately document patient care and complete required orientation modules prior to assignment start
