Our commercial operations team is the essential link between the customer and the business and is driven by fresh energy, new ideas and dynamism.
Responsibilities
Proposal commercial strategy and contract finalization.
Development of digital applications and tools to reduce the cycle time of the proposal release, scouting, proposing, adapting, testing, and deploying new digital tools and innovative applications to the commercial operations.
Interacting with Regional Sales Teams in opportunity development and assessment with customers.
Identifying alongside relevant teams the best solutions to meet customers' demands by leveraging the Baker Hughes technology portfolio.
Scouting opportunities, teaming up with Sales Regional Managers, Technical Sales, and DTI Managers.
Preparing proposals, maximizing profitability & convertibility, guaranteeing quality, completeness and responsiveness. Leading deal price and margin strategy reviews.
Ensuring compliance with commercial risk assessment and proposal preparation procedures and leading project hand‑off meetings.
Contributing to and supporting the creation of digital tools functional to the needs of the commercial community, including the use of AI.
Qualifications and Requirements
MBA or bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 1+ year of experience in the turbomachinery business.
Full availability to travel worldwide for business purposes with short notice.
Fluency in English.
Working knowledge of Italian and Spanish languages is an advantage.
Familiarity with AI‑based tools prompting and good knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, Deal Machine, Power BI, Python and similar tools applicable to the proposal development process.
