Athletic Trainer

to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients. This position involves clinical and administrative duties, including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Patient Care Responsibilities: rooming patients, collecting histories, documenting initial pass HPI, charting, answering phone calls, completing forms, teaching HEP & walking with crutches. Clerical Duties: prepping clinics, obtaining test results, updating charts, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, coordinating referrals and appointments. Fulfills EOC Responsibilities: cleaning exam rooms, ordering and stocking supplies, maintaining a safe work environment. Organizational Duties: promoting patient rights, responding to emergency codes, adhering to HR, Compliance, and Joint Commission policies. State-law specific duties: autoclaving, checking vital signs, suture removal, dressing changes, entering orders per physician protocols, biohazard waste management, applying DME. Develop skills to remove casts, apply splints, and fit DME products as assigned. Evaluate patients during post-operative visits, with physician or APP support, and co-sign notes. Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or HCA. Job Eligibility Requirements: Four-year college degree meeting athletic trainer requirements, with licensure in North Carolina from NCBATE. National BOC certification. Licensed by NC Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners. Current CPR certification. Job Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
