Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required
• Float between all Med Surg/PCU/ED boarding and temporary bed location units
• 32-bed unit with 5:1 patient ratios, potentially 6:1 during inpatient boarding
• Charge nurse responsibilities included
• Work with 4-5 nurse aides per shift
• Professional scrub colors, patterns, and styles required (no specific color requirement)
• Monitor telemetry and review cardiac strips
• Administer drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin (not DKA protocol), and narcotic comfort measures
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, ETOH withdrawal, kidney conditions, dementia, and CVA
• Provide close observation through camera monitoring
• Work with Epic EMR system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• NIHSS preferred but not required
• Washington state license or compact license required
• Floor-specific orientation provided
• BSN not required
