Radiology Technician – Per Diem

Location:
500 REMINGTON BLVD, Bolingbrook, 60440
Schedule:
Per Diem, 4 days per month availability, including a weekend and rotating two holidays.
PRN coverage as needed.
Shift:
1‑Day or per‑shift coverage.
Role Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results.
Performs clerical duties and provides basic patient care within the scope of practice, adhering to compliance plans and regulations.
Value to the Team
Cross‑transferrable into advanced modalities as needed.
Proficient in basic radiation safety concepts, keeping exposure levels ALARA.
Ensures high‑quality images that meet department standards.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
Assists patients during procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy.
Maintains equipment, performs safety checks, and notifies when inventory is low.
Works effectively with a multidisciplinary team and a diverse patient population.
Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor preferred.
At least one year of experience in radiology or graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred certifications: Certified Radiologic Tech (CR‑TECH), Physicist‑Rad Therapy IEMA (PHYS‑RAD), KY Med Imagin/Rad (KBMIRT), Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT), or Lic Radiology Technologist (LRT‑TECH).
Ability to work independently; may supervise students and assist in direct patient care.
Strong communication, patient care, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient with Cerner HIS, PACS, and radiographic equipment; basic computer literacy required.
