At Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, we’re dedicated to making high-quality, affordable spay/neuter and foundational veterinary care accessible to every pet and family in our community. Our clinic provides care for owned pets, shelter and foster animals, and community cats, helping reduce overpopulation and improve the well‑being of animals across Las Vegas.
We’re currently seeking two Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our amazing Spay & Neuter team—skilled, compassionate professionals who bring both expertise and heart to everything they do.
(We’re also open to VTITs—Veterinary Technicians in Training—who are eager to learn, grow, and make a difference alongside us!)
What You’ll Do
Play a vital role in every step of surgery! From welcoming patients in the morning to ensuring they wake up safely and comfortably after recovery.
Partner with our veterinarians and client service team to deliver skilled, compassionate care and an exceptional experience for every client and patient.
Handle everything from anesthesia monitoring and surgical prep to recovery support, keeping every animal’s comfort and safety front and center.
Keep our surgery and prep areas running smoothly, cleanly, and efficiently throughout the day.
Work as part of our team that supports one another, communicates openly, and takes pride in the difference we make every day because we’re Stronger Together.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
Hold a current Nevada LVT license or are a VTIT working toward it.
Have a calm, professional demeanor and thrive under pressure in a busy, team-oriented environment.

The Details:
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week. The standard schedule is four 10‑hour days, Monday through Thursday. Some flexibility is required for occasional weekends or holidays.
Physical activity: Must be comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, walking, and handling large animals safely.
Compensation: Starting at $21/hour ($18/hour for VTIT), with scheduled incremental increases every six months during the first 18 months, and annual increases thereafter (performance and budget dependent). The starting wage may be higher, depending on experience. Once licensure is obtained, VTITs will be compensated at the LVT pay level corresponding to their length of service.
