Physical Therapist for treatment of pelvic conditions. Experience with pelvic health preferred.
An outpatient physical therapist with associated university degree and current, valid SC PT license, to help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve their overall quality of life.
Job tasks may include:
Consulting with patients to understand their physical condition, symptoms, and medical history.
Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
Developing personalized treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
Treatment Planning And Implementation Including:
Creating individualized rehab programs for patients.
Utilizing various treatment methods, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound).
Educating and Coaching patients on therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition.
Providing Hands-On Therapy And Pain Management Techniques Including:
Manual therapy, joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilization, etc.
Maintaining Patient’s Electronic Medical Record Including:
Maintaining accurate patient records, tracking goals and progress.
Documenting adaptations to treatment plans based on patient response and changing needs.
Advising patients and their families on in-home treatment options and recovery expectations and appropriately documenting education.
Education: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, greater than one year experience as a physical therapist, and licensure as a Physical Therapist by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and more. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted.
