Job Title Security Service Technician
Schedule Monday - Friday (Occasional weekends or off‑hours based on project needs)
Hours Core hours typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type Full‑Time (40 hours/week)
About the Role We are actively seeking a Security Service Technician with experience in access control systems to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in either commercial or residential low‑voltage security environments. You'll be working on hospital campus projects, so professionalism and attention to detail are key. This is a long‑term opportunity for someone who is passionate about building their career in the security industry. We handle installation, service, and inspection of various security systems, and we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarms, security and burglar alarms, CCTV systems, access control systems, tele‑entry units, gate systems.
Perform rough wiring, drilling, mounting boxes, and running cables.
Install and modify access control systems including cutting strikes, installing maglocks, and programming (if applicable).
Communicate effectively with field technicians, office staff, and customers.
Maintain inventory and use computer systems for documentation.
Work varied hours depending on project needs (some early mornings, weekends, or off‑hours).
Training A structured training period will be provided to get you up to speed on our projects and the specific brands/devices we work with.
Required Skills
Low voltage wiring.
Installation and servicing of access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, fire alarms.
Cable management and troubleshooting.
