LEAD FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES - ELEMENTARY (Edna Batey Elementary School) The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) is the fourth‑largest school district in California, covering 320 square miles and including 68 schools: 43 elementary, nine middle, nine high, five alternative education, one adult school, one charter school, and a virtual academy. Job Description / Essential Elements The Food and Nutrition Services department is a team of professionals dedicated to students' health, well‑being, and ability to learn. The department promotes healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness and aims to provide students with foods that promote a healthy body and mind. The team emphasizes teaching the importance of a varied diet and has increased its farm‑to‑school presence through nutrition education and the foods served.

Requirements

Current, valid Food Protection Manager Certificate (e.g., ServSafe or National Registry, both accredited by ANSI‑CFP)

Valid California driver’s license at the time of application
