CVOR RN Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience
Ability to circulate all services: CT, Vascular, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Colorectal, Robotics, Bariatric
Experience scrubbing vascular/general cases preferred
Active South Carolina or multi-state RN license required
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Radiation badge (provided by agency)
Experience in community hospital settings required
Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
COVID-19 vaccine not required
CVOR Nurse Responsibilities
Circulate and assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
Deliver expert care for adult patients undergoing complex surgeries: CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, MAZE procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response)
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards, including radiation safety
Complete orientation and required modules prior to start
Adapt to emergency response assignments during hurricane season as needed
