This Associate Actuary role is a great fit for candidates who have recently earned their ASA designation and are looking to continue growing their actuarial career in Medicaid projections by building market expertise.
Important Note:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have an ASA or FSA designation, a bachelor’s degree, and at least 2 years of actuarial experience.
Position Purpose Conduct analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes. Manage health plan specific actuarial needs and produce actuarial reports to aid in developing claims projections.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for an assigned Medicaid health plan’s claims projection development
Build out projection modeling for at least one Medicaid health plan
Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
Research and analyze the impact from legislative changes
Analyze and evaluate required premium rates
Analyze various data reports, identify trends and gaps and recommend action
Create and update actuarial reports
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Medicaid rate-setting or forecasting
Excellent communication skills

Qualifications
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (or equivalent international certification) or Fellow (FSA) designation
Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
At least 2 years of actuarial experience
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of actuarial experience.
License/Certification Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (or equivalent international certification)
Employment Type Full-time
Work Location Remote from anywhere within the continental United States. Ideal schedule is ET or CT, but flexible.
Pay Range $86,000.00 - $154,700.00 per year
