Overview We are seeking an experienced accounting bookkeeper with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements, reports, and tax returns.
Responsibilities
Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
Maintain financial records and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
Post journal entries
Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports
Prepare tax returns
Prepare trial balance of books
Reconcile accounts
Qualifications
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma with 1–2 years of study
1 to less than 2 years of bookkeeper experience
Proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Windows
Attention to detail, accuracy, excellent written communication, team player, time management
