Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. This is critical to the success of our preconstruction efforts, focusing on Commercial and Multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring
10+ years of estimating experience , a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and a proven ability to lead complex bids from concept through final submission.
Our client is a well established General Contractor with over 40 years of experience in Commercial and Residential Construction projects.
Description
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for Commercial and Multifamily projects ranging from $5M to $50M+
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scope and pricing
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., Bluebeam, Timberline, ProEst, or similar)
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations
Evaluate historical data and market trends to inform pricing strategies
Assist in value engineering and alternative solutions to meet budget constraints
Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes
Profile
Minimum
10 years of experience
in construction estimating, with a focus on
Commercial and Multifamily projects
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
Experience with Design-Build and CM-at-Risk delivery methods (Preferred)
