$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Full-Time | Direct Hire | Competitive Salary + Benefits We’re seeking a
Controls Engineer
to design, program, and implement control systems for advanced automated equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. What You’ll Do
Design electrical schematics, PLC programs, and intuitive HMI interfaces to control automated machinery. Solve complex controls engineering problems from component-level to full system integration. Provide technical support to sales, procurement, manufacturing, and field service teams. Develop detailed schematics and panel layouts following industry standards and best practices. Write clean, documented, and reusable PLC ladder logic using established programming standards. Design user-friendly HMI screens that simplify diagnostics and troubleshooting. Participate in documentation creation — BOMs, technical drawings, and operational manuals. Troubleshoot and debug electrical panels, wiring, and safety circuits. Travel occasionally for installation, commissioning, and customer support. What You Bring
3+ years of experience as an Automation & Controls Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or similar role. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience). Experience deploying automated electromechanical systems in project-driven environments. Strong understanding of fault-tolerant design, error handling, and system recovery. Proficiency with
Rockwell Automation
software (Studio 5000, View Designer, FactoryTalk Optix). Working knowledge of
AutoCAD
or
SolidWorks Electrical
is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with
NEC/OSHA
safety regulations. Experience with
FANUC, Kawasaki, or Yaskawa
robots preferred. Knowledge of
SQL databases
