DTC Global Services LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to provide advanced engineering, administration, and performance support for enterprise Oracle environments under our federal contract. This position ensures the reliability, security, and optimization of Oracle systems across development, QA, training, and production environments. Working as part of a multi-database team supporting Oracle, SQL Server, and related technologies, the Senior Oracle DBA will lead all Oracle-related activities—including installation, configuration, patching, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Job Summary
Administer and maintain Oracle RDBMS (12c–19c and newer) across multiple enterprise environments.
Perform installation, configuration, and patching (PSU/RU and quarterly security updates).
Manage and monitor database performance, space, and memory (SGA/PGA) using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and AWR/ASH analytics.
Implement backup, recovery, and cloning using RMAN, Data Pump, and Data Guard.
Configure and support Oracle APEX, ORDS, WebLogic, and Fusion Middleware, including patching and certificate management.
Develop and automate PL/SQL procedures, packages, and scripts for maintenance and migration.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.
Support change management and interface monitoring between Oracle and integrated systems.
Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing to ensure RTO/RPO compliance.
Prepare and deliver weekly activity and status reports in accordance with contract deliverables.
Collaborate with developers and engineers to optimize database and application performance.
Remain current on emerging Oracle technologies, features, and federal IT security standards.
Required Skills / Experience
8+ years of hands‑on Oracle Database Administration in federal or large‑scale enterprise environments.
Expertise in Oracle RDBMS (11g–19c), APEX, ORDS, WebLogic, and Fusion Middleware.
Proficiency with RMAN, Data Guard, OEM Cloud Control, and SQL Performance Tuning.
Strong skills in PL/SQL, SQL optimization, and schema design.
Experience supporting Linux/Unix and Windows Oracle environments.
Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, and Section 508 compliance.
Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills in remote, multi‑team environments.
Preferred: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or
Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Clearance
Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
