St. Mary Appleton Minister of Young Disciples (6th-12th Grade)
Minister of Young Disciples - 6-12 Grade (40 hours per week, benefits eligible)
St. Mary Parish in Appleton seeks a faith-filled, energetic individual to lead youth in grades 6–12 to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. The role includes coordinating faith formation, Confirmation preparation, and a vibrant youth ministry rooted in the life and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Pastor, Director of Pastoral Administration, Pastoral Team, and parishioners to promote discipleship and bring Christ to others through meaningful formation.
Work with the Pastoral Leadership Council Liaison and Discipleship Committee to support the parish's vision, mission, and goals.
Develop and lead faith formation for grades 6–11, including Confirmation preparation.
Recruit, train, and support catechists and volunteers.
Create engaging youth ministry opportunities for middle and high school students.
Qualifications
Practicing Catholic with a strong personal faith and commitment to the mission of the Church.
Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious studies, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in youth ministry, catechesis, or faith formation preferred.Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, families, and parish partners.
Comfortable using technology and social media for ministry communication.
Must complete diocesan Safe Environment training and background check.
