Due to growth‑driven expansion of its Commodities group, Karbone is seeking a Renewable Fuels Sales Trader for our US Renewable Fuels Desk.

Responsibilities

Market‑making, sales‑trading, business development, and account management among renewable fuel producers, logistics providers, fuel distributors, oil refiners, and voluntary end‑users.

Originate, structure and execute bilateral and financial deals for renewable fuels and related environmental credit contracts in North America. Coverage may include RINs, LCFS, renewable/biodiesel, ethanol, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), other Biogas, and/or other related commodity products.

Work with the Desk to implement portfolio management and customer hedging strategies.

Build and expand relationships with existing and prospective market customers by leading client meetings, roadshows, and attending industry events.

Maintain knowledge of market developments, regulation/legislation and industry trends.

Qualifications

3‑10+ years’ experience in renewable fuels trading.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or similar field.

Proven trading, portfolio management, and risk management track record.

Polished commercial acumen and demonstrated drive to generate PNL.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong results‑orientation, teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurialism, and the ability to scale a growing Commodity franchise.

Direct experience in renewable fuels and RINs highly preferred.

The estimated base salary for this position is $85,000 – $175,000+, to be commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes bonus and comprehensive benefits.
