Production Technician (Maintenance)
Location: Berkeley
Overview We are looking for a motivated Production Technician (Maintenance) to join our maintenance team at the Berkeley site. This role is based on a four‑day working week (Monday – Thursday, 07:25 – 17:00) on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will support the ongoing decommissioning of the former Magnox nuclear power station by working within a regulated sector that requires a high level of safety and quality.
Key Deliverables
Carry out core electrical maintenance activities within own level of competence.
Support delivery within his/her range of skills, knowledge, experience and competence.
Carry out electrical maintenance tasks within scope and competence and assist with fault investigations.
Comply with Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments.
Support colleague’s learning and development through knowledge sharing and task instruction.
Qualifications and Experience
City & Guilds 18th edition – Level 3 Electrical installations award (BS7671) – essential.
Relevant experience in maintenance of electrical equipment – essential.
Experience working in a highly regulated sector – desirable.
City & Guilds – Initial and Periodic electrical inspection and testing (2391‑52) – desirable.
Additional Information Security clearance is required, or the ability to obtain said clearance. Preference is given to candidates who can live within commuting distance to the Berkeley site. The role is open to flexible working arrangements where possible.
