Job Summary The Project Lead serves as the on‑site coordinator and crew lead supervisor for the planning and installation of Security Systems, including Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems. The role ensures projects are completed to company and customer quality and safety standards while maintaining the efficiency of the assigned staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise several Crew Leads, providing training, ensuring compliance with safety and quality guidelines, and holding weekly safety meetings. Escalate performance issues to the Security Systems Project Manager when necessary.

Coordinate with the SS Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion and adherence to project budgets.

Accurately complete all IES COMMUNICATIONS, LLC. project paperwork on time, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and other required documentation.

Act as the main on‑site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and construction meetings as required.

Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Possesses proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills and can read, write and give oral presentations.

Must be able to stand and walk large job sites regularly.

Must be able to work at heights, off ladders and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb.

Must have color vision, read small print and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.

Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.

Regular attendance is mandatory.

Tools

Basic hand tools: screwdriver (all sizes), drywall saw, torque level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, cable stripper, insulated crimping tool, flashlight, gloves, multimeter, butt‑set, tone wand, coax compression and/or hex crimp tool.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalency.

Minimum of five (5) years in security systems installation.

Minimum of twelve (12) months supervisory or managerial experience.

Proficient with the listed tools.

Proven skill level to interpret blueprints, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.

Knowledge of universal communications color codes.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).

Meets company minimum driving standards.
