The

Lead Network Engineer

plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s enterprise network infrastructure to support business‑critical operations. This position blends hands‑on technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring that the network remains secure, resilient, and optimized for performance.

The successful candidate will lead the planning, deployment, and management of advanced networking technologies across on‑premises and cloud environments, including Cisco Firepower, Cisco ACI, Citrix NetScaler, Cisco Meraki, and major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.

As a senior member of the infrastructure team, this role provides technical leadership and mentorship to a team of network engineers, establishes operational standards, and collaborates closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to continuous improvement in network security, availability, and performance.

Essential Functions

Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including wireless access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and related devices, ensuring performance and stability across all business units.

Palo Alto SASE & Prisma Access

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency. Prepare and maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and operational procedures. Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance, escalation support, and professional development. Develop and enforce network security standards, policies, and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure. Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate network solutions with enterprise systems and services. Stay current with emerging networking technologies, industry best practices, and security trends to drive ongoing improvement. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Required)

Experience

10+ years of experience in network engineering within Cisco, Citrix, and Meraki environments (Required)

Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP or CCIE (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, FCoE, ACI, FC).

Expertise with Cisco ACI, Citrix NetScaler, and Cisco Firepower Firewalls.

Deep understanding of network security, including firewall design, intrusion prevention, secure routing, VPNs, and zero‑trust architecture.

Hands‑on experience with Cisco and Meraki networking hardware and related technologies.

Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, especially in high‑priority outage situations.

Proven ability to implement and deliver complex technical projects involving LAN, WAN, wireless, 4/5G, SD‑WAN, VPNs, NAC, and Zero Trust.

Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google) and virtualization technologies.

Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
