Hardware Developer (Quantum Device Yield and Characterization)

Responsibilities A successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and scientists and coordinate the technical roadmap, resource allocation to scale‑out yield and characterization methodologies for quantum processors. The candidate is expected to independently drive cross‑functional program management across multiple teams and define architecture‑aware yield metrics based on the needs and feedback from the broader team. The candidate is expected to disseminate results through impactful patents and represent IBM in professional meetings and societies.
Preferred Education Master's Degree
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related experience.
Familiarity with yield engineering analytics, electrical test, wafer‑scale characterization.
Experience with leading cross‑functional project and/or program management.
Preferred Experience
Master’s degree in Engineering, or related experience.
At least 5 years of experience in leading cross‑functional teams.
Hands‑on experience with electrical probing and test equipment, defect analysis and data systems integration.
