The Category Space Analyst holds a key position in strengthening Red Bull's market presence by conducting market analysis, managing product distribution and placement, and optimizing shelf space at various retailers across the United States. This role requires utilizing tools such as IRI, shopper/category insights, and retailer/distributor data to develop profitable planograms, maintain current planogram information, and provide analysis to support field execution.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Category Development Managers and Analysts to create fact‑based planogram recommendations for Red Bull's Strategic Accounts within each Business Unit. Transform data into meaningful narratives to draw conclusions, identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and assess the impact for strategic accounts. Support or lead retail meetings with Category Development Managers concerning space planning methodologies and processes. Oversee and manage planogram reset projects for accounts by maintaining accurate timelines and resources, while coordinating with external vendors.
Create insights‑driven schematic presentations utilizing both external and internal data to support thought leadership in the field. Manage data‑driven tools to track category growth metrics for each Red Bull account. Perform research and analysis on new space planning initiatives, providing recommendations to the Business Insights Team. Develop and maintain the Space Planning Tools suite, which includes product and image libraries, JDA tables, labels, highlights, and space optimization calculators.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in product merchandising, space planning software, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex data sets into meaningful and actionable recommendations.
Proven track record in project management.
Skilled in integrating multiple tools to effectively solve problems.
Experience with syndicated data tools (e.g., IRI, NITRO, Nielsen Answers CORE) is strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively both internally and externally to retailers.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and evolving role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities to support key initiatives and improve existing processes.
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong aptitude for customer service with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels, from field staff to executive management.
Previous customer or client‑facing experience is preferred.
Experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is an added advantage.
JDA Space Planning Certification is preferred but not required.
Salary & Benefits Base salary range: $72,000 - $108,000 plus cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
