The Senior Director of Sales & Marketing is a strategic, growth-focused leader responsible for driving revenue and market expansion for a private equity–backed manufacturer of flow control technologies across industries such as agriculture, industrial, marine, transportation, government, and biofuel. Reporting to the General Manager and partnering with the private equity sponsor, this leader will develop and execute a commercial strategy to accelerate profitable growth across multi-channel sales networks, including distributors, OEMs, service providers, and key end users.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on commercial builder and strategic leader with deep channel expertise and a modern approach to sales enablement, marketing, and customer engagement. This individual will enhance market presence, expand partner relationships, and lead the commercial organization toward scalable, repeatable revenue performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Marketing Strategy

Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth and market share.

Manage budgets, sales funnels, account plans, and new market/product launches.

Strengthen customer relationships, resolve complex issues, and embed Voice of Customer (VOC) insights into strategy and training.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Monitor competitors and market trends to recommend strategic adjustments.

Lead, mentor, and coach the sales team, setting goals and monitoring performance.

Provide ongoing training to enhance sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service.

Foster a customer‑centric, high‑energy, and collaborative culture.

Track and analyze sales performance, making data‑driven adjustments.

Prepare reports for senior management highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Budget & Compliance

Meet or exceed revenue/margin budgets and allocate resources effectively.

Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical sales practices, and legal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years of sales experience, with 5+ in leadership within industrial manufacturing.

Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving growth.

Strategic, data‑driven thinker with strong leadership, coaching, and relationship skills.

Proficient in CRM and sales management tools; B2B and industrial/durable manufacturing experience preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.

Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
