The Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations will oversee all aspects of global operations, owning the strategy and execution of sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and fulfillment. This individual will be responsible for building an operational infrastructure that supports rapid growth across DTC, retail, and international markets while ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and flawless execution.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with finance, product, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure operational readiness for product launches, channel expansion, and long-term scalability.
Key Responsibilities Operations Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute the global operations strategy across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and fulfillment.
Partner with executive leadership to align operational capabilities with business and financial goals.
Establish KPIs and reporting to track efficiency, quality, and cost performance across the supply chain.
Supply Chain & Production Management
Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations from raw material sourcing through finished goods delivery.
Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers, ensuring quality, cost, and reliability.
Build production schedules that align with demand forecasts, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
Demand Planning & Inventory Optimization
Implement an integrated demand and inventory planning process across DTC and retail channels.
Monitor inventory health and turnover, optimize SKU mix, and balance working capital efficiency with service levels.
Systems & Process Improvement
Lead the implementation or enhancement of ERP, MRP, and planning tools to improve visibility, automation, and decision-making.
Standardize SOPs and operational processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
Oversee 3PL partners, warehousing, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Optimize logistics costs and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
Partner with finance to manage operational budgets, COGS, and key metrics (inventory turns, cost per unit, logistics spend).
Identify and execute cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure operational readiness for launches and campaigns.
Support business growth through scalable infrastructure, strong vendor partnerships, and disciplined execution.
Compliance & Sustainability
Ensure compliance with regulatory, labeling, customs, and safety requirements across markets.
Support sustainability initiatives through packaging optimization and responsible sourcing.
Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team capable of executing with precision, speed, and accountability.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, or production within the beauty, skincare, or CPG industries.
Proven success scaling operations for a fast‑growing brand with outsourced manufacturing and multi‑channel distribution.
Deep knowledge of end‑to‑end supply chain management, including procurement, demand planning, logistics, and cost optimization.
Experience implementing ERP/MRP or other operational systems.
Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to manage KPIs and budgets.
Excellent project management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic, evolving organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
