Purpose & Job Summary Lument provides comprehensive capital solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors and health care real estate. This includes a full suite of financing and strategic solutions such as investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, a variety of direct balance sheet lending options, investment sales, and mergers and acquisitions. The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group seeks a Director to develop strategic lending partners (SLP’s) focused on life company lending through correspondent relationships, serve as the primary contact for maintaining those relationships, and contribute to the business growth by leveraging unique life company lending products across all CRE asset classes.
Responsibilities
Serve as life company relationship and product manager.
Leverage life company relationships and contacts to develop a stable of partners and correspondent relationships.
Represent the firm to life company partners at industry events and in-person meetings.
Perform review of life company loan submission packages for acceptability.
Review lender submission packages from analysts/associates for deal placement to life companies.
Review quotes and application packages from analysts/associates.
Provide workflow oversight for life company deals in process and in servicing as needed.
Direct and mentor associates/analysts in all facets of analysis and preparing deals for life company execution.
Provide credible recommendations to supervisors and senior management based on market research and analysis.
Monitor and assist originator and support staff throughout the due diligence process and closing process as needed.
Demonstrate excellent client relations skills.
Work professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements 10% – In-person meetings with strategic lending partners and conferences as appropriate.
Contacts This position frequently contacts all levels of employees and management. It also interacts with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
Education, Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the life company commercial mortgage lending industry.
Strong proficiency with MS‑Excel, Word, Argus, and other computer programs as needed.
Preferred
Management or supervisory experience with a small team.
Product knowledge of CRE lending products across all asset classes.
Experience with Bank, CMBS, Debt Fund, and Agency lending products.
Salary & Benefits Annual base salary gross:
$100,000 - $150,000
(NY only). The base salary range is an estimate based on geography. Actual base salaries vary by qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
