The OR RN will be responsible for providing perioperative care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, compassionate, and efficient perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Maintain aseptic technique and ensure compliance with infection control policies.Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.Document all nursing care and patient responses in accordance with facility policies.Support and educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.RequirementsActive RN license in the state of Michigan (or compact state license eligible).Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in an acute care hospital setting.BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred).CNOR certification preferred but not required.Experience with general surgery cases required; additional specialty experience (orthopedic, neuro, vascular, etc.) a plus.About Protouch StaffingProtouch Staffing stands out as a premier healthcare staffing agency in the USA, committed to pairing healthcare workers with positions that perfectly match their qualifications, experiences, and career aspirations.
