Role Overview Responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory procedures in designated areas, including analytical testing of human biological specimens. This position involves assessment of specimens, interpreting data with precision and accuracy, workflow management, quality control, performance improvement, training, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with lab leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Perform pre‑analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, specimen processing, cleaning, and disinfection of laboratory equipment and spaces.
Conduct post‑analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including reporting results and providing technical support.
Complete tests and analytical procedures efficiently and accurately according to established standard operating procedures.
Participate in proficiency testing, adhering to federal and state regulations and institutional policies.
Act as a preceptor to facilitate orientation and training of new employees and students, documenting appropriately.
Provide guidance to technicians and support staff, resolving customer‑service issues within guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
