£40-50k (DOE), car/allowance (£5.5k) and excellent benefits package The Role: Our client is looking to strengthen their Health & Safety team with a Senior Quality Advisor in their Thames Water region. As a Senior Advisor, you will assist the SHEQ team to deliver effective SHEQ performance across the framework, ensuring their processes and finished products meet their high-Quality standards, whilst also supporting their Digital Delivery team in transposing IMS into the digitized environment (Autodesk tools). You will split your time between home working (2 days/week) and their various site and office locations around the Thames Water region (3 days/week). Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Regional SHEQ Manager, your responsibilities will be: Development of a framework integrated management system to cover all aspects of the business. Lead the Quality performance to achieve agreed standards (KPIs) and provide incisive SHEQ monthly Management Information to deliver effective performance. Oversee the collection, input, and validation of monthly SHEQ data into the SHEQ Reporting system. Oversee the submission of monthly client data reports. Develop and deliver a continuous improvement programme for Quality performance, advising action and recommendations for changes within the Framework. Embed understanding of Quality, its benefits, and the requirements on the company in this respect. Analyse current and future procedural needs of the framework, and work with the central function to incorporate them into the business. Provide support on quality issues to all areas of the framework including construction delivery, proposals, procurement, business services and design. Manage the resolution of findings and corrective actions. Liaison with the client’s construction delivery teams to oversee the close out of defects and non-conformances. Providing training (or ensuring a suitable programme is developed and delivered) on quality issues and business processes. Consult with clients, joint venture and supply chain partners and where required develop framework derogations and Best Practice for incorporation into the business. Undertake internal and external quality audits at all stages of the delivery process and to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures, and other stated requirements. Lead the Framework Quality team to deliver their responsibilities and support site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Quality Plans. Implement a robust monthly audit and inspection schedule. Participate in the Quality Managers Forum, ensuring development of quality practises throughout regional quality managers. Provide input and review of pre-qualification, tender and Quality award submissions for subcontractors. Experience:

Ideally degree (or equivalent) qualified in an engineering, quality, technology or technical field. However, they are also open to applications from those qualified vocationally or by experience. Approved Internal or Lead Quality auditor (ISO 9001) course from an IRCA/CQI accredited company. Conversant in Quality legislation. Candidates must have some kind of Quality background. It could be someone from a more hands-on background such as a Foreman or Supervisor who’s had good experience in quality inspections and wants to do more work in this arena. Our client is not opposed to looking at CVs from the manufacturing sector; it would be ideal if they had an understanding of the construction process and typical site quality issues that they face so Civil/Site/Construction/Utilities is the preference, but they are open to related sectors such as Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Pre-cast Concrete Manufacture, Armed Forces etc. Applicants must have a driving licence and be willing to travel within the region.
