Job Title: Clinical Analyst – Lab Domain
Duration of project: 6 months
Location: 100% Remote
Job Summary: The Clinical Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in lab data quality, availability, and interoperability. This role supports lab stakeholders by documenting technology requirements, mapping Lab products to standards, and collaborating with vendors and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of lab applications. Either as a lab tech or someone that has worked with lab software.
Key Responsibilities: Act as a quality consultant and SME in the lab space. Collaborate with technical teams and remediate system issues. Work with stakeholders to assess current and future lab technology needs. Design projects involving Lab systems integration across multiple platforms. Drive improvement activities aligned with departmental and organizational goals. Coordinate with functional teams to ensure consistency and optimization of deliverables. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and apply them to business processes. Provide subject-matter expertise on Health Ministry processes and policies. Identify and recommend process improvements. Escalate unresolved process and project issues. High level of communication skills, both written and verbal are required. Understand and articulate the interdependencies/orchestration and related workflows of Lab products. Participate in cross-functional discussions for developing and implementing new processes, standards and high-level requirements for Lab products. Participate in lifecycle/product management activities such as application inventory maintenance, product road maps, and identification of Lab applications standards. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in clinical laboratory settings. Strong understanding of lab workflows and clinical information systems. Experience with LIS implementations and vendor relationships (e.g., LabCorp). Familiarity with lab-related modules in systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and Sunquest. Experience navigating electronic medical records (EMRs). Product lifecycle management experience specific to lab applications. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment and demonstrates adaptability while balancing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Clinical Lab Technician (CLT) background or equivalent hands-on lab experience. Certifications in Epic (preferred), Cerner, Meditech, or Sunquest. Experience with Google Suite. Familiarity with software product management and vendor coordination. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or certifications in clinical informatics or lab systems are a plus.
