Job Overview Baumgartner Custom Builders (BCB) is seeking two seasoned and driven High-End Residential Construction Superintendent to join our elite team. As a High-End Residential Construction Superintendent at BCB, you'll take the lead on-site, overseeing complex, architecturally significant residential and boutique commercial builds. This role demands technical excellence, leadership finesse, and the confidence to manage high-stakes, high-finish projects from pre-construction through to punch.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities with accountability for project success.
Execute complex building plans with an emphasis on custom detailing and high-end finishes.
Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain schedule integrity and craftsmanship.
Utilize Procore to manage digital plans, daily logs, RFIs, punch lists, and documentation.
Implement lean construction tools such as pull schedules, lookahead planning, and constraint tracking.
Anticipate and resolve field issues with creative problem-solving and real-time decision-making.
Maintain strong site safety practices and ensure compliance with all regulations.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with project managers, clients, architects, and field crews.
Represent BCB with professionalism and integrity in all client and stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications
5+ years of high-end residential or boutique commercial construction as a superintendent, trades foreman or subcontractor (e.g., a finish carpenter).
Deep technical knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
Experience working on remodels/renovations ranging from 300-2,000 sq ft and new builds ranging from 2,000-3,500 sq ft.
Experience working on projects valued at $5+ million is essential.
Strong proficiency in Procore or similar construction management platforms.
Exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills under pressure.
Experience in managing the full project life cycle from pre-construction to final walkthrough.
High school diploma or GED required; advanced certifications preferred.
BEST license/certification required prior to start.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead through influence and example.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss cost per square foot of previous work and provide project examples during the interview process.
