Telemetry RN Job Details
* Location: Austin, TX 78704 (Texas nursing jobs)
* Healthcare Setting: Telemetry Unit (3 South, 34 private rooms)
* Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
* Start Date: November 3, 2025
* End Date: February 2, 2026
* Contract Duration: 13 weeks
* Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
* Hours per Week: 36
* Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
* Dress Code: Navy scrubs
* Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360 - $1460 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
* BLS and ACLS certifications required
* Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
* Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and clinical support
* Experience with advanced airway and oxygen management
* Familiarity with cardiac drips (not titrated)
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
* Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients in a 34-bed telemetry unit
* Provide respiratory support, including advanced airway and oxygen management
* Administer cardiac drips as ordered (not titrated)
* Assist with procedures such as stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube management
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, PCTs, and unit clerks
* Float as needed to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding areas
* Document patient care using Meditech EMR
* Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude to support excellent patient outcomes
