Ambiorix is a new venture from the team behind Ectosense, a sleep-diagnostics company acquired in 2021 by ResMed (NYSE: RMD). After several years at ResMed, we’re applying that experience to build an organization dedicated to delivering well-engineered diagnostic devices at competitive prices.
Our aim is to broaden access to high-quality diagnostics by improving efficiency and lowering cost without compromising performance. By the end of 2027, we target the capacity to test 100,000 patients per Ambiorix employee.

Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art diagnostic medical devices from prototypes to mass production
- Create schematic designs, perform PCB layout, and collaborate with manufacturing partners for fabrication and assembly
- Work closely with mechanical engineers and manufacturing teams for rapid prototyping, design iterations, and troubleshooting production issues
- Support documentation and verification efforts for FDA, IEC 60601, ISO 13485, and EMC/ESD compliance
Must Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experiencewith circuit design, PCB layout (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar), and embedded hardware development
- Passion for hardware products
- Good written and spoken English
- Highly creative and autonomous
Nice to have
- Experience writing firmware in C
- Experience with communication protocols such as BLE
- Experience with mass production processes
- Experience with low-power, battery-operated devices
- Experience with regulations such as ISO 13485 andIEC 60601
