Our Client: Our client is a $100M division of a $300M publicly traded company. Both companies manufacture custom made hardware, technology and design solutions for energy infrastructure and large industrial energy users.

Why is this opportunity so unique: Have you heard about this thing called AI? If you haven’t you have been living under a rock. Today AI data centers consume 4% of all the U.S. Electricity. By the year 2030, modest estimates put that percentage at 9%. More than doubling the amount of energy they consume today. In order to meet the energy demands of AI, the U.S. will need to update the aging electrical grid, large energy users will need to modernize their electrical infrastructure with custom made equipment that will help manage their energy usage more effectively. Our client and their parent company stand to benefit tremendously from this spending. Wall Street analysts are already buzzing about this company. Their share price has already doubled this year alone.

Location: Bordentown, NJ

Position: Accounting Manager

Summary: Lead, manage and develop a team of 3-4 Staff and Senior Accountants. This position reports in to the Controller and will manager all aspects of the accounting and financial reporting processes to deliver timely, accurate, and relevant financial information that supports company operations, strategic planning, and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Month-End Close:

• Manage the monthly closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and performance analysis.
• Supervise Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Senior Accountant functions.

Cost Accounting:

• Analyze cost variances, investigate trends, reconcile inventory balances, and provide insights into margins and production costs.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate entries and timely updates.

Compliance and Controls:

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX 404 standards.
• Support external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.

Accounts Receivable:

• Oversee invoicing, review and approve customer payment applications, and manage collection efforts for past-due accounts.

Accounts Payable:

• Review vendor invoices, approve new vendor setups, and monitor outgoing payments.

Tax and Treasury:

• Manage sales and use tax compliance and payments, and perform bank and fund transfers.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent related experience) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing setting required.
• Prior experience leading or supervising accounting staff.

Technical Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Exposure to HRIS integrations required; Paycom experience a plus.
