Notice to Out of State Applicants . POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State Housing is seeking student employees to fill several part-time Student Office Assistant positions within our 6 area housing offices. Applicants must be reliable and be able to follow simple directions and instructions. Typical job duties include: Answering phones
Greeting customers and providing exceptional customer service
Receiving and sorting mail/packages
Making copies
Filing documents
Review calendars
Make appointments
Process maintenance requests
Other general office support and completing special assignments as requested
Office Assistants must be Penn State students and possess the ability to multi-task and have excellent interpersonal skills. Student Office Assistants start at $12/hour. We offer flexible scheduling within the traditional M-F 8a-5:00p business hours. The ability to foster a positive climate among a diverse group of staff, student employees and parents is essential. Some positions are available year-round. Applications will be kept on file and will be reviewed as positions become available. CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
