Athletic Field Technician - Montgomery Parks - Seasonal

We are currently seeking motivated green industry professionals to join the Athletic Field Team as an
Athletic Field Technician
who enjoys being outside, working as a team, and who has an outstanding work ethic with great attention to detail.
Work hours: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM. May include days, evenings, weekends, and holiday work.
Responsibilities
Perform skilled athletic field maintenance and renovation work.
Complete turfgrass tasks such as baseball/softball infield maintenance, mowing, edging, aeration, seeding, nutrient management, and sod removal/installation.
Operate equipment including trucks, tractors with attachments (aerification equipment, seeders, rollers, sprayers, spriggers), sod installation equipment, zero‑turn mowers, and walk‑behind aerification equipment.
Carry out general grounds maintenance: leaf collection, litter cleanup, hardscape repair, fencing repair, weeding surfaces, removal of fallen trees, pruning, and snow removal.
Understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions effectively and efficiently.
Communicate any concerns and/or needs of the project or athletic field and equipment.
Perform work as a group and occasionally work alone on projects.
Possibly drive commission vehicles after completion of defensive driving training.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of outdoor landscape industry experience in lawncare, grounds maintenance, athletic field maintenance/renovation, or equivalent.
Ability to communicate in another language is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
No experience or training is necessary except for specialized skills (e.g., typing) or licenses/certificates (e.g., Red Cross Life Saving Certificate) directly related to the job.
Positions are seasonal and do not include a benefits package.
Salaries are based on experience.
A complete criminal background investigation will be conducted prior to hire.
May be subject to medical, drug, and alcohol testing.
