Supply Chain & Import Coordinator

Base pay range $46,000.00/yr – $56,000.00/yr
About the role The Supply Chain & Import Coordinator is responsible for procurement and import processes for overseas freight imports. This role manages vendor relationships, coordinates international shipments, and ensures compliance with import regulations.
Key responsibilities
Place and monitor Purchase Orders with multiple vendors, track order status and shipments, and determine transportation costs.
Coordinate international freight shipments, select ocean carriers, assign truckers, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
Monitor shipments from origin to destination, provide updates to stakeholders and resolve custom or transportation delays.
Review import documentation for accuracy, prepare and submit paperwork to customs brokers.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate efficient logistics solutions.
Collaborate with inventory teams to monitor stock levels and adjust shipping schedules.
Analyze freight costs, negotiate rates, and optimize shipping expenses.
Maintain accurate data in ERP and company databases.
Produce and maintain reports on freight costs, delivery times and inventory turnover.
Coordinate with receiving and accounting teams for invoice approval and landed cost recording.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong presentation skills.
Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
Education and experience
High School diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
2–4 years’ experience in supply chain coordination, purchasing or international logistics.
